Forget FOMO: Focus on YOU

"Once you realize you can't do everything, you can really start to focus on enjoying on the things you can do." - karla

Yes, I'm quoting myself here. This concept came to me when I was in Italy earlier this year. Italy -- like many great vacation destinations -- is a land of wonder, with so many options on good food, fun activities, great locations, and more!

Before the trip, my co-travelers and I were deciding what to do, narrowing our options, and basically conspiring to make our Italy dreams come true! Which is I why I felt kind of bad when I heard a couple of them say, "I wish we could do X" while they were literally doing some other amazing thing.

Riding the train through the magical Italian countryside, I had an epiphany: Once your realize you can't do everything, you can really focus on enjoying the things you can do. I knew this inherently, but in the picture-perfect world of social media, it's sometimes easy to forget.

So how you decide what to focus on?

(1.) Narrow your down your WISH List to your MUST List.

(2.) Figure out what fits your schedule.

(3.) Forget Instagram and TikTok: decide what really interests you (and your travel companions), and then do that.

And whatever you end up doing and wherever you go, whether it was #1 on your Wish List or it's simply on your Must Do List because it's your travel companion's #1 (Hello, F1 Driving Experience!), live in the moment. Enjoy it. Live your best life one experience at a time.
