When people take a staycation, they typically stay in one place -- at home or close by -- exploring all there is to see in their area. So let's take this concept and expand it to travel in Europe.

Tour companies often promote their European trips with something like "Seven Countries in Seven Days!" or offering the chance to visit "14 cities in 10 Days!". Having a tour director to handle logistics and local guides to provide context is very helpful, and tour guests can check many items off their bucket lists. This is a perfectly valid way to explore the world. |
But here's another way to travel:
I like to stay in one place for 4 to 7 nights so I can more fully understand an area. I want to live locally for a few days, taking public transportation and eating in restaurants where I don't hear American English. I want to have time to wander down a nature trail or maybe an interesting street that I happen upon. I want to fully experience the culture, the food, the scenery, the vibe.
And I'm inviting you along for this experience.

For a bespoke itinerary, my planning fee is $450 for up to two people per week of vacation. However, the planning fee for a Curated Staycation is only $149 per person ... and as always, I do not add up-charges on hotels or activities. A Curated Staycation is indeed the perfect compromise between joining a pre-planned group trip and your own bespoke, fully customized itinerary.
